Approach and works on display
Décor Trésor (2023)
Catherine Lescarbeau presents a new work based on furniture. In Décor Trésor, the objects are still approached from the angle of the “semi-ready-made” specific to the artist. Second-hand furniture related to festivity is modified to provide a colourful and humorous decontextualized look at the Festival 2023 theme. By recreating installations from furniture and everyday objects, Catherine Lescarbeau brings a new reflection on our relationship to our environment. Her most recent research focuses on the houseplant as an interface that allows her to reflect on the relationship between culture and nature within corporate and institutional spaces.
